download .zip file (55mb) howitzer groupings was an album i put together and sold on mp3.com back in the day. i was the 782nd artist to ever sign up on mp3.com so i was a pretty early adopter. the album is a bit more random in feeling than most maus albums - primarily because it's more a collection of sort of wierd tracks reflecting a bunch of different directions i was going in at the time. some of this stuff ended up being reformatted into more straight-ahead dance type stuff that was released as 'offshore' ( a project i had with jeremy carter ), and some was even more experimental and odd (such as 'sierra fulton, spy'.)

this album is still all hardware sequenced by my PC running cakewalk professional 3, although by this time i had added a waldorf microwave XT, novation supernova, kurzweil k2000, akai s5000, TC electronic fireworx, and a few other bits of fun kit.

as for the name... no idea whatsoever.
